About Tim Absalom

I have been coaching golf for over 45 years.

That means I have seen the game change, technology evolve, and generations of golfers walk onto the lesson tee with the same quiet hope. They want to improve. They want consistency. They want to understand their swing.

My journey began long before force plates and launch monitors. It began with observation, patience, and curiosity. Why does one player generate effortless power while another struggles? Why does a swing look sound yet produce unpredictable results?

Becoming a PGA Professional gave me structure, education, and a framework for coaching. But the deeper understanding came from thousands of hours beside golfers, watching patterns emerge, learning how people move, and discovering how confidence and clarity change everything.

One breakthrough that has stayed with me involved a mid-handicap golfer who had been stuck at the same level for nearly a decade. He had tried countless tips, watched endless videos, and was close to giving up competitive golf.

Instead of rebuilding his swing, we focused on understanding how he used the ground and how his clubface behaved through impact. Using measured feedback and structured practice, we simplified his movement and gave him a clear performance roadmap.

Within months, his handicap dropped. But more importantly, his mindset changed. He stopped guessing. He started trusting.

That moment reinforced something I have believed for decades.

Improvement is not about chasing positions. It is about creating reliable patterns that hold up under pressure.

Today, I combine experience built over 45 years with modern tools such as Smart2Move force plates and video analysis. Technology adds clarity, but it does not replace coaching instinct. It supports a process that is grounded in observation, communication, and structured development.

What matters most to me is seeing a golfer leave with more understanding than when they arrived, not a perfect swing, a dependable one. After 45 years, one truth remains constant. Golf rewards clarity. And clarity builds confidence.
